Flow Drilling and Tapping Machine

Flow Drilling and Tapping Machine

This project shows just how varied Etech’s machine designs can be. The requirement was to butter malt bread slices at a rate of eighty slices per minute and maintain a hand spread finish on the product.

Flow drilling or thermal drilling in the manufacture of office furniture is very common place. In the main this is done on a drill press manually, after which the steel section is tapped.

Etech have designed a semi automated machine which can produce two holes drlled and tapped, loaded and unload in just eight seconds.

Melamine coils are stacked on top of each other and require wrapping and packing into a cardboard box. The loader receives a stack of coils and a cardboard box, and wraps the coils in a plastic sheet before loading to the cardboard box. The coils can range from 400mm-650mm in diameter.
